Your Privacy Choices
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), and other applicable state privacy laws, you have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information.
What Does "Sale" Mean?
Under the CCPA, "selling" personal information is broadly defined to include sharing personal information with third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration. When we share your information with lenders and marketing partners to connect you with loan offers, this may be considered a "sale" under these laws.
How to Opt Out
To exercise your right to opt out of the sale of your personal information, you may:
- Email Us: Send an email to contact@simplyefund.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell My Personal Information" and include your full name and email address used on our platform.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC): We honor the Global Privacy Control signal. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we will treat it as a valid opt-out request.
What Happens After You Opt Out
Once you opt out:
- We will stop selling/sharing your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
- We may still share your information when necessary to process a loan request you have explicitly submitted.
- We may still share your information with service providers who help us operate our business (these are not considered "sales").
GLBA Exemption
Important: Personal information that is collected, processed, sold, or disclosed pursuant to the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) is exempt from the CCPA's right to opt out. This means that information you provide as part of a financial product request may still be shared with lenders to process your request, even after you opt out.
Additional Rights
In addition to opting out of sales, you may also have the right to:
- Access the personal information we have about you
- Delete your personal information
- Correct inaccurate information
- Non-Discrimination for exercising your rights
